not posting so much lately
by ballistic ini haven't been posting so much recently, but it's not because i've had enough of you all.
actually it's for a good reason.. my firm enrolled me on a home study course in a field similar to my current career but slightly more advanced.. ironically, several weeks after me enrolling on the course, they announced my department is being outsourced to india and we are all to loose our jobs at the end of march.. strangely enough, i'm not too worried about that, it's happened to me 3 times before with the same firm and i always found something else.
in fact, i might not even bother.

Hi ballistic I hope its worth it!! I'm sure it will be in the long run. If you have a relapse and fancy one of your booze filled weekends again you know I'm not too far away!

If...
by Narkissos ini was thinking of an approximate reversal of force's thread (http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/14/105552/1.ashx):.
if something happened which proved beyond any doubt that god (or gods) cannot exist, silencing forever all claims for realistic belief in an objective divinity, shattering even the uncertainty of agnosticism, would you start being interested in theology?.
i don't mean to discuss the probability of the assumption: it is very unlikely.

SERVICE REPORT 2005 : WATCHTOWER FEB 1ST 2006
by BluesBrother ini have had a quick look and found no references to this, so - here goes..as in the mag we picked up on sunday.. worldwide % increase over 2004 = 1.3%.
memorial partakers 8524 (compared to 8570 in 2004).
most european and nth american lands show pretty static figs - britain 1% increase, canada 0%, germany 0%, france 1%, usa 0%... but spare a thought for the inhabitants of zambia where 1 person in 90 is a reporting witness, must be hell going down to the local market!

David2002 I hope you are still with us. You said on an earlier post that a WT official in Britain regretted what happened to 2 young girls, with regard to child abuse, and that the elders of the congregation were subsequently removed from their position. I know of this case and it is one of the main reasons why I am here today. What you have failed to say is that they were not removed until the so called "brother" was found guilty by a court of law and three of those elders had stood up in that court as character witnesses for for that "brother".
Here's another question, and you may need to to do a bit of research here as I have, what position do those removed elders now hold? Here's a clue, one in the same afore mentioned congregation and two now in another?
As a so called apostate it would be unreasonable for me to give the answer myself I will leave that to you.

Out-standing Calls
by slugga inever knock on a door and have an outstanding call for what ever reason, good or bad.?.
i cant name names because i'll end up giving my old congregations name / area away and i don't want to do that.
i was out one sunday afternoon with an elder we were doing a nice area but having no interest, we knocked on a door and a scruffy looking bloke came to the door (i recognised him straight away), the elder presented the mags and got a no thanks and started to put the mags away as the door started to shut.

I know the group as well. One of my all time favourites you lucky....um...er.....person!
Here's one for you. It didn't actually happen but it might make you laugh.
An elder knocks on a door watchtower in hand. A boy of about 10 answers, with a cigar in one hand and a half empty bottle of vodka in the other. The elder says" is your mother or father in?" the boy replies "does it f*****g look like it?"

angry or sad... which are you?
by daddys girl inwow!
i just found this website and excitedly registered as i am df'd, and missing my family terribly.... i was hopeful that i might find a place to talk, share concerns and maybe vent occasionally.
i'm finding as i read however, that some people are incredibly angry and bitter and some of the comments seem mean and hurtful.

Hello daddys girl, I am also df'd so have had no contact with immediate family for 17 years. Yes I am angry that people can choose such a phony religion over their own flesh and blood, but I also feel concerned for them at being lead on for so many years by what the WTBTS tell them is right and wrong and not what the bible tells them. How naieve can people be?
WELCOME!!!!!
We are happy people here really as we know the true difference between right and wrong.

You think that the Monty Python film "The Life Of Brian" is the true story of the messiah.
You start visiting historical churhes on your annual holiday.
You buy an Iron Maiden album on vynal and try listening to it backwards.
